Case 1

Twenty-five-year-old woman with nine congenitally missing permanent teeth

The orthodontic treatment has reduced the edentulous spaces making only three implants necessary in the upper jaw to close the dental arches.
Implants are inserted in the right upper premolar and canine region simultaneous with a sinus floor elevation.

Autogenous bone chips are packed around the implants and finally covered with a resorbable membrane.
The patient has been followed for five years. Note the narrow approximal space between the canine and the premolar in the right side causing loss of the interdental papilla.
