06. The 3.3 mm & 3.6 mm cylinder drill.

The implant sites for 4.0 mm diameter implants is enlarged with the 3.3 mm cylinder drill (yellow colour code). Only in very dense cortical bone the preparation of the implant site need to be extended with the 3.6 mm cylinder drill (blue colour code). This was necessary in one of the implant sites. Also a final leveling of the alveolar crest was needed before the insertion of the implant.

07. Implant placement.

Implant are placed into the prepared sites and threaded into the bone by the torque wrench. A torque of at least 30 Ncm should be obtained during the seating if the implants are used for immediate loading.

Lateral radiograph immediately postoperative show the position and alignment of the placed implants.
