Placement of 3 XiVE implants posterior to lower right canine in partial edentulous patient. (Insertion torque measurement - Frios® unit E).

Incision top & relaxing incision, localization of mental nerve/foramen, controlling clinical measurement with radiographic analyses before drilling start.

Round drill and use of surgical template to set up the preliminary placement and axial orientation of implants. Width & direction lingually of alveolar process controlled. Final placement, direction and size (diameter) of implants confirmed.

Recomended preparation depth according to bone quality for XiVE® :
Bone class D I:
6 mm
Bone class D II:
4 - 6 mm
Bone class D III:
2 - 4 mm
Bone class D IV:
0 - 2 mm
It is better to prepare the crestal section of the site too deeply than not deep enough. Even with the maximum crestal drill depth of 6 mm the implant generally has sufficient primary stability.
