Inferior repositioning of maxilla with simultaneous advancement. The maxilla is positioned inferiorly without interpositional bonegrafting. In this way it is still stabilized vertically by the oblique osteotomy. Sometimes it may be appropriate to use small amounts of onlay grafts.
